Packing and The Office

My wife and I are buying our first house and we are in the process of packing. And by we I mean my wife. The Office is her favorite show this side of Seinfeld. She pretty much knows every episode by heart. So she likes to put the DVD's on while she works so she can half pay attention/ have some background noise. And since I am on the couch being useless I watch the episodes.

Here are some of my observations...

1. Steve Carrell is the hardest working man in TV. He is constantly busting his ass for the gag. The typical Office scene is Michael attempting to entertain/motivate/inspire the troops. Everyone else, except maybe Dwight, is literally sitting there trying not to laugh or peering at the camera disapprovingly. Michael is literally a one man show.

2. The more awkward the Michael moment, the better.

3. Jim gets the easiest laughs. He sits and makes great faces and his pranks are done off camera.

4. Pam's journey from super mousey to assertive to happy couple w/ Jim is very satisfying.

5. Top 3 side characters - Creed, Kevin, and Andy

6. Great Jim pranks on Dwight -
- Jim puts all of Dwight's desk items in the vending machine
- "Gay-dar"
- Everytime Dwight typed his name the computer spells diapers (a simple macro)
- Vampire Jim (Jim is on a path now...)
- The "alliance"
