The movie was an above average date movie. A great one if you are into food. The movie tells two stories - one about Julia Childs, housewife, becoming Julia Childs, culinary legend and the other about a customer service call center girl who starts a blog detailing her attempt to cook every recipe from Julia Childs famous cookbook.
The better part of the movie was Julia Childs part, but the part that has stuck with me more was the blogger part. She started her blog basically because she was jealous of her richer, meaner, and sluttier friend. She felt her life was lacking and was looking for a goal, something she would follow through on.
That got me thinking about what the point of this blog is. I don't have a goal to fulfill. I started this blog because I want to have a place where I can think and write creatively about something other than the law. I did like the idea of the journey that comes along with trying to cook 500+ recipes in a year.
I am working on a journey I can take in this space. I have a couple ideas floating around.
